March 2016 Newsletter | I for India

As always, it’s a great pleasure to interact with you all here and update you on our upcoming events ! We hope you’ve all had some good time with the family during the Easter break and some of you maybe on an extended vacation now given the school half term holidays.

As we enter April, spring and sunshine are very much on our minds and surely on your’s too. The thought of Spring also makes us all relish the chance to get back to some sporty activities and end the hibernation, shackled indoors to the TV, laptop and gadgets ! As the saying goes All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy…and this is important and applies to Jill too!

On the professional front, most of us embark on a new financial year so this is also the time to take a renewed look at career, investments in the new fiscal.

So with these 2 things in mind, we would like to announce and invite you to our next 2 events for May … a double dhamaka as it were !

“G for Get Connected” !!

Based on the success and appreciation for our Career Connexions evening last year and by popular demand, we are hosting a broader event connecting people on the professional and investment front. As many of our regular patrons would know, our main focus is to benefit the Indian community in the UK and this goes beyond social occasions. From our own observations and interactions, we realise that a good majority of Indian professionals settled here really appreciate a gathering of like minds to seek inspiration and information to explore new avenues for career and investments.

Ours on 4th May 2016 will be an evening event to connect people on various aspects such as:

  • Presentation by leading recruitment agencies
  • Accounting and taxation advice with specific reference to recent changes in HMRC rules.
  • Mortgage, Pension, Insurance and other life style essentials
  • Investments in UK
  • Investments in India

We are confident the above will give you more context for a more informed decision. Above everything else it is a networking opportunity with nearly 200 like-minded Indian professionals over a drink in an informal atmosphere... that’s just not every other day and we believe is certainly worth the evening !

We are also pleased to have secured a fantastic venue that befits our event theme… an impressive top floor suite with stunning panoramic views across London and located in the heart of Canary Wharf , opposite the Canary Wharf Underground station.

So please note the event details below and block your diaries right away:

Date & Time: Wednesday, 4th May 2016 (18:00 to 21:00 hrs)
Venue: CCT Venues Plus, Level 32, 40 Bank Street, Canary Wharf, London E14 5NR

“H for Hale, Healthy and Happy !!! ”

As the event theme suggests, our second May event is coming together with the families to get back to fitness, sport and a healthy lifestyle. We at team I for India have always been looking to promote get togethers of a different nature and we truly believe this is a much needed complement to the busy lifestyle of both adults and children. As parents bringing up children in this country, this is also an extremely important lifestyle training we need to show by example to our children who already spend an ever increasing time of the day with electronics, mobile phones, games and gadgets!!!

So, without any more ado, here are the details of our “H for Hale, Healthy & Happy” event:
