Rhythmic Rajhesh Vaidhya and Scintillating Stephen Devassy

Hope you all had a good sunny weekend. The summer school break is just around the corner and we are sure you’re all eagerly looking forward to it and have made plans also by now !

It was delightful to see many of you at our concert Rhythmic RAJHESH VAIDHYA & Scintillating STEPHEN DEVASSY, on Friday 7th July at the Watersmeet Theatre in Rickmansworth.

Thanks to your punctual arrivals and registrations as always, we were able to get started in a timely fashion at 6:30. We opened with a brief showcase of talents by our local youth and next gen who did an extremely good job performing songs across different vintage and genres.

Shortly after, we welcomed our artistes into the concert which lasted nearly until 11 pm, with a short dinner interval. The hours just flew past - with various medleys, singles, own musical fusion pieces and audience requests - taking us on a beautiful journey of music from the legends - MSV, Ilaiyaraja, AR Rahman … and also some Bollywood and Deep Purple as little surprise and delight for good measure !

It was a treat to watch the 2 legends Rajhesh Vaidhya and Stephen Devassy in action - the camaraderie, the harmony, their unique swag, the showmanship and sheer magical talent between them and their talented team of musicians. A special treat was also the standalone percussion ensemble between Kumaran on drums, Sai Hari on Ghatam and Praveen Narayan on Tabla, besides their extra-ordinary background to the Veena and Keytar performances. The icing on the cake finale to the event was a live 30-minute showcase of “Do You Have a Minute Series (DYHAMS)”- a unique series and effort from Rajhesh since the last many years which has won many awards and crossed over 1000 days now !

As an organisation, we have been blessed with an eco-system of partners who are now more like family and friends and have been a key pillar of support and encouragement in our return to live events. We are thankful to our sponsors and event partners for the day which include Lifeline Protect, AHA Bazaar, Indian Aroma, Universal Fortune Limited, True South, Giri UK, A&R Solicitors, DNS Accountants and Sangeetha group of restaurants.

All in all, it was a really fulfilling experience for us in what has been our second effort to resume events following the pandemic years. Your unflinching support to this cause has been our main motivation and we are grateful for all your support, appreciation and inputs. We look forward to your continued support for our future endeavours also.

For those who attended to reminisce and for those who did not attend to see what they missed here is a little compilation of the photos taken on the day.

Until then… take care, stay tuned and have a lovely summer and holiday season !
